Unapologetically Black and Pro-Trump: My Presidential Vote, My Choice!

“I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose voters.” – On his loyal supporters during his 2016 campaign.

On 08/24/2023, I watched half of the Republican debate and am now tuning in to Donald Trump on Tucker Carlson’s YouTube channel. I support Trump because I see him as a strong leader who shares many of my beliefs and values. His administration coincided with a period where I personally made the most money, and I admire how professional and well-mannered his children are.

I consider myself an independent voter, and I leaned towards the Republican Party because of the positive changes I saw during Trump’s time in office. Contrary to popular stereotypes, I believe that Trump isn’t a far-right figure, and there’s a sense of resistance from the government establishment towards him.

It’s interesting how the media can shape our perceptions. I draw a parallel between Trump’s assertiveness and the way Louis Farrakhan was portrayed in the 90s. While I couldn’t listen to Farrakhan in my Christian upbringing, as I got older, I realized that sometimes the media can misrepresent individuals.

I also appreciate Trump’s willingness to address issues that others might avoid. I’m all for innovation, but I value traditional principles. Some of the newer values seem to go against things like family, marriage, and old-school traditions that I hold dear.

As for Trump’s potential second term, I hope he focuses on uniting the country. I believe external factors like COVID-19 and the George Floyd protests played a role in his first election loss. The Democrats are skilled in marketing their candidates, as seen when they brought out Obama alongside Biden. Perhaps Trump could similarly engage with figures like Kodak Black to connect with a broader audience.

In the end, I believe we’re stronger together as a nation, and I trust in God’s plan. Let’s hope for a more united and prosperous future for our country. As they say, “United we stand, divided we fall.”

Romans 13:1 (NIV): “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” – This verse can be used to discuss the importance of respecting and participating in the political process as a Christian.
